Riverside Tearoom is situated on the left hand side of Orford Quay in the picturesque village of Orford, 12 miles east of Woodbridge in Suffolk and opened in August 2006.

The tearoom is situated in an excellent position with magnificent views of the River Ore and beyond onto Orford Ness which is an internationally important conservation area, with a fascinating 20th-century military history.

Inside is comfortable and welcoming and staff are always happy to help. We have various paintings of Orford and surrounding areas by local artists which are a real joy and asset to the tearoom.

The large windows give a wonderful panoramic view of the river and beyond where you can sit and gaze as you enjoy mid-morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea and a slice of cake.

The floors are wooden which is ideal for walkers and outside we have a decking area facing the River Ore where customers like to sit even on colder days.

We serve healthy, freshly prepared food and a superb choice of homemade cakes. We use the best and freshest ingredients we can, the same as I would use at home, and our scones are freshly made every morning ready for when we open.

Every morning we make a homemade soup using fresh ingredients, locally sourced where possible. All our ham, beef and mince is bought from our local butcher in Orford.

We have a good selection of teas and our coffee is freshly grinded from bean to cup whilst you sit and relax.

We have disabled access and a disabled parking space located next to the ramp for easy access.

Children are very welcome.

Coach parties are welcome but must telephone in advance so we can arrange staff.
